Southern Yellow Pine and Ponderosa Pine both naturally accept treatment without the use of incising, thus, the natural aesthetics of the wood remain. Hills Products Group offers 2 shades of MicroPro treated lumber, Natural(light green) and Cedartone(tan). Pressure treated lumber will resist attacks from insects, microscopic organisms as well as fungal decay.

Hills Products Group manufactures multiple lines of fencing products including but not limited to: 1 x 6 privacy pickets, cross-buck and rail fence, agricultural fence posts as well as post and rail systems. Hills Products Group is also capable of manufacturing custom fence designs. All designs may be treated green or Cedartone.

Ponderosa Pine is one of North America's most abundant species and is the predominant specie in the Black Hills. It has a number of applications, both interior and exterior.
Engelmann Spruce is one of the most popular commercial softwoods in the U.S. It machines easily, has a low rate of shrinkage, and is very uniform in color. When compared to Ponderosa Pine it is typically lighter in color and has smaller knots.

Pole Barn Timbers and Laminated Columns
Hills Products Group offers two options for post frame construction, solid sawn pressure treated timbers and laminated columns. Our Ponderosa Pine Squares are sawn in South Dakota using Native Pine from the Black Hills Forests and are Koppers® pressure treated to ground contact for structural applications. Our laminated columns are offered in a variety of sizes such as 2x6 and 2x8 in 3,4 and 5 ply and lengths from 12’ to 34’. We can also build custom sizes on request as well as adding saddle notches or uplift anchor brackets. We offer one of the only laminated columns on the market that is nailed, glued and finger jointed.
